AWoL in April: Time for ACDC 2018!

Are you 13-25 and want a career in the arts? Here is your chance! Art Without Limits is presenting the 8th free Art Career Day Conference (ACDC)!

The conference is to create a thriving and successful generation of artists through education and mentorship. Outreach will include young artists in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties. The day consists of presentations, performances, and the opportunity to participate in three Roundtable Discussions out of 15 offered in many art forms and led by professionals.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet, dialogue, ask questions and, very importantly, be listened to by up to 40 professional artists of all genres. Roundtables will be held in acting/directing, animation, architecture, costume & fashion design, dance, film & media arts, photography, galleries & museums, graphic & w eb design, journalism, makeup, music, painting, poetry/prose, and sculpture/installation. A complimentary lunch is served. ACDC is free for 13 to 25 year old artists. A $25 donation is requested for attendees over the age of 25.

"ACDC showed me that life is dynamic, and that you actually have a choice about what you want to do," and "I really enjoyed hearing about how people found their way to success first hand." Attendees vary from those with no formal training to those well on their way to establishing themselves as professional artists. Many participants return for following years.

AWoL collaborates with SB County Office of Arts & Culture, SB County Education Department, SBCC Theatre Department and Foundation, SB Bowl, and SB Teen Star.
